Österlen lyser 2026
A weekend of light between the villages.
Österlen Lyser is the annual festival of light when villages, associations, businesses and residents illuminate the autumn darkness. The 2026 programme runs from 30 October to 1 November and is updated continuously. Borrby is this year’s Village of Light.
In Sankt Olof, the village association lights candles around the village on Friday and hosts a light disco for primary-school children. On Saturday, the village gathers for candlelit streets, a torch procession from the railway warehouses, a children’s light village in the square, food, coffee and entertainment. The windmill is illuminated throughout the weekend.
